F-15 mystery pod…

Hi,

Using all your vast knowledge, can anyone enlighten me as to the type / role of the mysterious pod fitted to the below USAF F-15C assigned to an aggressor unit? :confused::confused:

The pod in question is fitted to the port forward fuselage hardpoint (probably not the correct technical term!) normally used for AMRAAM.
