f-22s agility

i have been posting in another aircraft message board recently and people in this message board are all saying the f-22 is of corse unbeatable at BVR but if things got close it would be taken by other fighters like Su-37, EF2000, and Rafale ect ect…
I want to know if this is really true, cous i always thought the 22 was built with stealth as well as the ability to win a dog-fights with agility to match that of Su-37 ect ect.
So is the 22 really doomed if it were to ever encounter these aircraft close in.
It would make me feel a bit warmer inside if i knew my country wasnt spending poop loads of money on somthing that cant match other fighters in close.
Any comments regarding the comparison between the 22 and its competiters in close would be nice, thanx:)
