F-35 Modular weapons bay !

Is there a possibility that the future F-35 Blocks could use Modular bays rather then fixed modular bays currently being used ? They could use the same space but design a bay differently with bulging doors and with racks modular and easily replacable (on site) as well as specialized for various missions like AD , CAS , INTEL etc etc . Modular bays are allready being used for the X-45/47 in the N-UCAS programs are something which expand capability and flexibility .

Can one design modular bays around a given space available and a given aircraft or both have to be independently designed around each other ???
