So again this isn’t technically a topic about modern military aviation, but I put it here in hopes of getting more responses than I would on the historic forum. With any luck the mods will leave it be and I’ll get some interesting feedback from forum members.
I was searching for good photos of F-84F’s and although pictures are out there, really good and/or unique ones are rather hard to find. Was hoping I could get some help from the forum.
I know we have quite a few experts on various European air arms here, and since the Streak was the backbone of NATO throughout the 1950’s and early 60’s I felt I might have some success getting some neat information and/or pictures.
If tbzz is still around, some of his rather legendary pictures would be great to add, because photos of loaded F-84F’s outside of the standard fuel tanks are hard to come by.
In any case please share any interesting photos or information you have on the F-84F. It’s an interesting airplane to me, that doesn’t get as much coverage as some other jets of its era, but it was certainly an important part of the West’s Cold War arsenal.
Thanks!
