F/A-18E/F's current missions

Hi all

Recent reports claim that the Super Hornet’s mission in Iraq is only air refueling missions. Why is that? Isn’t it supposed to perform Strike mission and/or CAP? Why they are performing only secondary duties like air refueling and not what is intended to be (strike or CAPs)?
