F/A-18E/F's engine doubt

Hi all

If you check any Site about the specification of the F/A-18E/F, we all see that the thrust class of the F414-GE-400 is “22,000lbs class of thrust each”. Ok, but many have claim that the engine produces, actually, 17,000 to 18000lbs of thrust.

About that statement, I’d like to ask you if it’s true or just fantasy of the people who don’t like the Super Hornet.
