F-CK-1 Ching-Kuo

I think I posted a thread on this plane awhile back. Does anyone know of any new developments in the Republic of China Air Force (Taiwan) regarding this fighter. I heard about a LIFT derivative and a strike derivative being developed? What do you guys think will come of these two proposals. I think the LIFT idea is great. If they work it right, I bet the strike variant will do well. Personally, I like the F-CK-1’s that are in service now. They seem to be a well-equipped fighter with very good electronics such as three MFD’s in the cockpit, advanced radar, good weapons capabilities, and good performance. The TC-2 and TC-1 Sky Sword missiles make the Ching-Kuo one of the deadliest of the light fighters in service around the world. Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows any developments and if anyone can give me their opinions and/or thoughts on this nice looking fighter plane.
