F/O S. E. ANDREWS – Help Needed!

Can Forum members help identify the unit that F/O S.E. Andrews was killed with. He is buried in Ismailia War Memorial Cemetery. I believe it could have been 3 Aircraft MU – but I cannot trace this in “Flying Units of the RAF” by Alan Lake. Could be that I have just missed it, but any help will be most appreciated.

Also I have a note that he was “shot down” by a BF109 on 29 December 1941 serving with 605 Squadron out of Malta. Any leads?
