I’m just watching the above and seen a Gulf Air (?) on a fly-by. Can anyone tell me the aircraft type and reg? (It’s in a special gold colour scheme)

I’m sorry chaps, but I’m closing this thread now. I simply don’t have the time to keep weeding out the off-topic postings.
If you want to chat amongst yourselves about F1 racing, go and start a thread about it in General Discussion.

No, they really don’t. Some people just need to not overreact. This is a friendly forum, contrary to popular belief. No-one ridiculed anyone in this or the other thread about the F1. For those of you that don’t know Sandy, aka, Bmussed55, he’s one of the best people in here at offering advice in regards to photoshop, aircraft templates, etc. He is more than willing to help, and is by no means in the business of ridicule. He, like most of us, likes to throw a bit of sarcasm in there occassinaly. Similarly, we have many in here that are experts in the photography sector, and I’m sure they are more than willing to offer a helping hand when asked. Let’s drop this nonsense, and move on. No harm, no foul.
Thank you george, for your common sense and your kind words. 🙂

A Moderation Moment.
Words of wisdom, as usual, from greekdude.
Chaps, we are not going back to the bad old days on this Forum.
If you have a problem with a posting either let one of the Moderators know or discuss it with the person who made the posting, either by e-mail or by PM.
Do not start a row on the Forum because it will be deleted.
The days of flame-ins and handbag-fests are over, and they will not be returning.
Thanks
GA
Oh… and no more F1, please. This really isn’t the place.

Sadly some people think they are better/more inteligent than others. I dont know why.
I will find out how to post small pictures and study all the liveries of all the airlines in the world just so that I dont give sad people the chance to ridicule me.

Rosberg won’t win a championship with williams, they’re not good enough,as soon as the other teams figure out how to build V8’s williams will drop like a stone.

I have been maintaining aircraft for over 26 years, civil and military, I fly regularly as a crew member and like to share my experiences with interested people through this forum.
I live in Bahrain and I am fully aware of of the reasons for the different Gulp Air liveries, it was only a joke  .

No I won’t, I will just have another swim in my pool and another beer while I sunbathe, recover from the F1 GP & look forward to my next trip to another exotic location :diablo: .

What have I done wrong?
This is the second time you’re trying to find fault where none exists.
Seriously. Sandy was just correcting him, Phil. People do that in here all the time. No need to over-react on this.
By the way, I had money on Schumaker and Ferrari. 😡

What have I done wrong?
I informed Flying Spanner of what was what. Do I need to ask: “pretty please, with a cherry oin top, can I correct you?” for it to be acceptable for you?
This is the second time you’re trying to find fault where none exists.
If you find that acceptable – fine. No further discussion.

Cheers, I’ve just posted over there but nice shots anyway!
Is there really any need for this tone? It’s a perfectly legitimate question/answer/personal opinion and if that’s your attittude why bother posting at all? Please respect all the users of this forum, whatever their knowledge, regardless of how often you may have posted.

Philatgatwick, the A330 was A40-KC and the A340 was A40-KC.
Gulf air have several colour schemes at the moment, a bit if an identity crisis I think.
See my trip report, Masrieah, scat and Kuwait, it shows the terminal at BAH with four different Gulp Air tails
I have just posted pix of the GP flypast.

Flying Spanner, you’ll find they have a perfect identity plan. You picture shows the fleet livery, a special celebration livery and the livery for the the Gulf Traveller subsiduary which in effect is a different airline.

Rosberg was certainly impressive, I would still like to see Heikki Kovalainen replace Fisi and have both of the top two from GP2 in the field this year. Heikki had Nico beaten early on in GP2, it was only when ART found a controversial level of pace that Nico managed to take the championship lead. Nice to see Alonso thanking his mechanics, their stop really won the race for him. Massa seems fast but irratic (now there’s a suprise!). Torro Rosso have good pace down the straights, won’t be like before their V10 is formally protested, there’s been complaints already in the paddock, as well as over Ferrari’s rear wing.

Commercial Aviation anyone? 😀 😀 😀 :diablo:

Was an absolutely pathetic performance by Toyota, considering they had their 2006 car ready before any other team.
The Williams car certianly isn’t the best, that’s why I said best of the rest, I think alot of people will be surprised at how good and reliable the Cosworth engine will be, I think Red Bull could come to regret swapping Cosworth for Ferrari.
Am I the only one that thinks if Torro Rosso keep having straight line speed like they have done this weekend, that the other teams are going to kick up a fuss very quickly about their use of the V10?
Schumacher doesn’t need to move over, he’s still right up there competing with the best!
By: ollieholmes - 12th March 2006 at 16:41
I wouldnt go for it just yet, give it the first three grand prixs, then put your money on it – I reckon he just might, but we need a few more races to see if it weren’t just a fluke.
His father was/is one of the greatest f1 drivers ever and now coaches his son. In the right team with a good car i think he could go a long way.
Schumacker just needs to move over.
