F27-500 G-BNCY

Rare outing for “Bouncy” – she was washed after this shot was taken, and exhibited at the Pershore Plum Festival in 2007

She’s more than 50% complete now internally, and I’m really going to try and take her to Cockpitfest 2009, following 3 years of nearly making it, but work getting in the way!!

She is very nice indeed.

I do like these vintage gliders. You don’t see too many “out in public” as such do you?
Last year, or the year before, at our (the Vintage Aircraft Club’s) Vintage & Classic day we had a Slingsby Gull (IIRC) roaded in. A beautiful aircraft indeed.

Thanks for that.

EASA – a dirty word for many these days.
Any chance of a photo or two of your remaining fleet?

Only one available at the moment is the Sky, restored to original 1952 condition when it was entered for the World Championships. This is the glider that Hans Nietlispatch flew from Switzerland over the Alps and Pyrenees to Spain!

Not my picture – I cannot remember the name of the nice chap who took it. I’ll credit it immediately if he gets in touch.

I’d like to know what the two(?) gliders are. One trailered and a second “loose” behind ‘Bouncy
Some really nice photos and threads – thanks for sharing.

The trailered glider is Schleicher Ka7 DMF, now (because of ridiculous EASA rules) resident in the USA. The other one (which you can only just make out) is a Grunau Baby III, now back at Fussen in Germany where she was made in 1954.

My remaining gliders are:

Slingsby T34 Sky (airworthy – currently for sale, but will probably keep!)
Slingsby Swallow
Schleicher Ka4
EoN Olympia 1 (for restoration to airworthy)
