I was at RAF Brawdy in the 80’s for one of their airshows while on holiday in Wales. I remember the show being brilliant, but towards the end a USAF F4 crashed after a slow fly-by. It just missed the coast road and impacted in shallow water. Sadly, both crewmen were killed but I believe they both ejected. I remember being impressed by the professionalism of everyone at the station in making sure the public were kept informed as there was a several hour delay in leving the airfield due to the coast road being closed.
My question is, does anyone have information on the identity of the crew, the aircraft and the unit they were flying with? Also, does anyone have photos of the aircraft, in happier times, or on the day at Brawdy?
Thanks
