Now some will understand why I bugged them to get Corsair pics. And … I really appreciated the help I got!

Critics on inaccuracies are naturally welcome!

Hi Melvyn

I am not sure a lot of us want to know what you did to your cat ! Those things are best left to the privacy of your own home, page 3 of any Murdoch rag or the old Bailey.

Kindest regards
and Merry Christmas
John P

By the way Frank, the model is pretty good but is missing the big gluey thumbprint on the canopy that is essential on all plastic models!

Hi Melvyn

The Mags are fine

You are obviously thinking of the -8 version with left hand thread crank handle and spiggot joint – easy to spot really – you shouldn’t critisie without looking closely.

I hate to be pedantic, because that sort of thing is so rare on here, but the -8 can have problems if the double thrust flange is not sealed properly with the correct grade of gasket sand. You need to be careful of those spiggot joints too. Many people upgrade them to the -9 and you can use the -7 timing with them. The mag timing also needs to be adjusted in the summer to account for daylight saving time.

It is a superb model and you should be very happy with it – Melvyn just likes things painted red – it is the nature of the man…..

Yeah, you should see my cat now!

Please don’t think I am being over-picky but I think you have mis-timed the magnetos . . .

Radio mast behind the hood is at a funny angle

Should stick up vertically

Engine bearer should also be interior green

Apart from that,excellent!
