This is a long shot. Quite soon I will be starting on the restoration of the above a/c. The side screens and front screen are very poor and the canopy has been ventilated with an axe!! If anyone here could point me in the direction of said items it would be very helpful. Also at a later stage I will need the cockpit interior and ejection seat. Any info gratefully accepted.

bravo24: I have a Sabre 5 seat which I am prepared to let go: depends on where you are and how much you’d like to pay.
Send me a PM maybe?

Nice panel, Ian. It’s just a jet-age Mustang really, isn’t it?! I’ve come across Sabre stuff too. It seems no-one in UK is much interested in it – or don’t know what it’s off. It helps that the RAF used them so there has to be a bit more about than would otherwise be the case.
I think I heard somewhere that they used the Mustang windscreen design for the Sabre. This may be a blessing or a curse.
Anon.

This ebay seller in the states had a lot of cockpit bits, including several panels which are now over here (3 at least) and one in Canada: yutz_pilot . Lots of different versions represented. I got an empty F86F-35 panel which is now nearly full. Instruments are cheap if you’re careful! What have you got? Huge variations in fit.

I can point you to my store – an F-86 rear canopy…
This was before I polished out most of the scratches.
Any use to you ?
I can send you a current – better pic tomorrow.

Can’t help I’m afraid but there was an apparent F-86 Sabre ejection seat on eBay a month or two back. Always worth a look on there!
