Hi guys,
I rarely post photos but this morning I headed over to Cranfield to watch G-LUXE head out to do some testing on the volcanic ash cloud.
The photos arent all that great, and the weather was quite dull but I thought that i’d share them with you anyway as G-LUXE is something different..

One of my old instructors told me about the air inside BAe 146’s. Has that problem been solved now?
Ahh yes, I remember snoopy but was never fortunate enough to see the aircraft myself.

The fate of British civil aviation industry hangs in the balance. Send for………..a Bae146!!!!!!! The only aircraft were the air contamination INSIDE the aircraft is worse than the contamination on the outside!!!
I remember when Mount St Helens erupted, The Met reserch flight Herc (Snoopy) was sent to the States and was flying THROUGH the volcanic plume within days.

No problem 🙂 I often taxi past her when shes outside being prepared for flight but this is the first time i’ve been there and able to actually photograph her without trying to taxi a C150 at the same time. 😀
The bits on the wings I think are to study cloud physics, but dont quote me on that.
Also for more info on FAAM they have a website that includes info on what they do and also gives position reports of where the plane is inflight..

EGTC. Thank you for sharing that ! I keep seeing references to it, now we know what it looks like, a few bits tacked on here and there ?
Thanks.
Keith.
