Fabric Cover ID

Good evening all,
Whilst clearing out a container today we came across a fabric cover.
It is silver on the outside and black, quilted on the inside. It has two zips along each side and would be about 3 feet long and about 18 inches diameter when zipped up – the zips need some TLC!
There are also a couple of round holes about 3 inches in diameter, also loops and pockets on the inside. There are also 4 semi-circular metal pieces about 1 1/4 inch wide on one side set in pockets and sticking out.
It has the following numbers on it:-
EA2-88-5949
Iss.2
EEP 138

Anybody have any idea what it might fit?
I will try and get some photos tomorrow.

Regards,
CS

Evening All,
Here are two photos of the cover I am trying to ID.
There are zips that runs along both sides of the long edge that connects to the two flaps which turns it into a cylinder. the rear edge has press studs to connect it to something else. One flap has three simi circular metal strips on the outside. Both flaps have a round hole in them.
Perhaps to fit over a pod or weapon of some sort?

Hi Jon
Thanks for that.
It must be for a pod of some sort being so small.

EEP – English Electric Preston
EA2 – Canberra

Taking into account it’s construction sounds like you have a Canberra weather cover of some sort 🙂

Sure the Canberra experts will be able to add more info shortly.
