Facebook

Regarding posts with Facebook links.

I don’t do Facebook either, although I should say that I do have a Facebook
account, but it is only for my convenience.
I don’t use my real name, and it is linked to a separate email address.
That way, I don’t get messages from people who want to be my friend etc.

It is only used for accessing various websites, rather than keep having to register.

I was looking for a recent and relevant thread to post about the progress of Kermit Weeks Tempest, when I came across this thread in the search. I have to agree with some of the posts above, facebook is great for up to date aviation news and actually talking to people involved. Even if Mr Weeks did not give me a job at Fantasy of Flight 😮

Any way for those who do use facebook – it looks like the Tempest V wings are getting there and will be reattached to the fuselage soon https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=572818276120589&set=a.572818222787261.1073742050.271937182875368&type=1&theater

Im on FB and all over it as much as i can lol. There`s lots of aviation picture references that stream through and inspire me in a different to get my paint brushes out and paint something themed along the lines of what ive seen. “”Rob Evans Aviation Art””.

Besides the artwork page i have a normal page that i use to post my latest normal restoration work pieces i have finished but also have an art page on there too

It works for me 😉

It is worth while as many organisations etc on fb that give updates and interact with people which is different to those that may just have a website which is updated once in a blue moon and not often interactive with people unless they have a blog.

Some have both website and fb page but update the fb page more often than the website. The only difficulty is now unless you have an fb account you can’t view someone’s fb page even when the page is set to ‘public’. But if the fb page you are trying to view is a ‘like’ page instead of a personal fb page then you don’t have to have a fb page yourself or be logged into fb to view it. But a personal fb page gives the person who runs it more power with how it runs and who can see the page and post on it and more options of what the person can do with it.

If that makes sense. 😮

There’s too much aviation related stuff on there NOT to have an account. 1000’s of photos on the museum pages etc 🙂
