Business took me to Fairbanks for a few days … here are a few impressions:

I only see red crosses in white boxes and when I right click on them and the click on show picture nothing happens

I stand corrected. I knew it was a DC-something less than 8. 😀 Even my original response was subpar as the DC-8 was obviously a jet not a prop aircraft. 😮 I meant to say DC-6 or 7 but that was still wrong. I’ll crawl under a rock now. 😮

That’s a Carvair. It was derived from a DC-7 or DC-8. It was used to transport vehicles, hence the name.

Thanks GREEKDUDE it’s such an unusual aircraft I really like the look of it due to it being unusual and IMO looking like a prop driven 747

I don’t know as much about aviation as all you guys but what is the old classic that looks a bit like a 747 with props on about half way down?
That’s a Carvair. It was derived from a DC-7 or DC-8. It was used to transport vehicles, hence the name.
