Fairey Seaplane Data Plate

Can anyone help me identify what RNAS or RFC Serial number was allocated to this aircraft. Type F129 No. F140. The plate measures 10″x 5″, I think it may be off a Sopwith Baby

Went to the bank and asked for a loan for half a million, they told me to go away, so it wont be at Legends this year:D
Thanks again

N1331 (first series) – hard to find anything – mainly you can find something from
N1331 (second series) Avro Anson

If someone has the revelant Air Britain Naval Aircraft book, you may find a bit more history on this aircraft

Royal Navy Aircraft Serials and Units 1911 – 1919 (ISBN 0 85130 191 6) by Ray Sturtivant I.S.O. and Gordon Page

I think Fairey construction numbers were sequential.. So if anyone has any references numbers to start with you should be able to get a possible match

It comes from a Fairey F129 ‘Hamble Baby’ floatplane, which was a modified Sopwith Baby design.

Can’t help with a serial, but if you let us have the dataplate and half a million pounds we’ll ‘rebuild’ it for you :diablo:
