As the title says, and if the weather is bad, enjoy these adventures into fantasy!

D’oh! I knew I’d regret it.
At least I got the type right. 😮
Would a bubble Hurricane have a small dorsal fin…like the later “D” Mustangs and Thunderbolts?
The Hawker Tempest had a bubble cockpit from the MKII onward and, while it had an extended tail-root fillet when compared with the MkI, it didn’t have a P51D-style dorsal fin.

Re the ‘Whirlwind’ image…my first thought was that it was, in fact, a Whelkin (?) prototype….but then thought no, and then, that the WW didn’t perform well at altitude, so the plane image was pasted onto the cloudscape….
Anywhere near, Mr BS?
Spot on… 🙂
The original photo had a bloody great rudder in the way, I just thought it would look so much nicer without it… 😉
One of my favorites was the Hurricane with the ‘Bubble-Top’ Canope…
Here’s the original photo…

Interesting picures, Mr Blue Sky.
But I can’t for the life of me figure out what’s odd about the Westland Whirlwind ‘cloudscape’ picture.
Oh… I just know I’m going to regret this!
Is it a Meteor body and spinners off a Mozzy?
Love the Hangar shot, even the burnt in shadows LoL. Super.
