Fake or Genuine?

I dunno. I can’t beleive it is genuine, but it looks a good fake if it is indeed a fabrication.
If this is a genuine photo… anyone know where it was taken?

Impressive shot. I’m still undecided myself as to whether or not it is genuine.

A couple of months ago I happened to be down at Sunset Beach as an American Airlines 757 came in on a short left base for rwy 09. He overshot the turn to final, banked it over steeply to the left to get aligned…overshot a little again…came screaming over the beach in a right turn….landed on the right main first and then proceeded to use the whole length of the runway to stop…so an Air Caraibes Dornier had to circle on final to give him time to backtrack and exit.
The tower controller hesitated a bit, and said something like “oooookey…American *** exit at Charlie…be cool man”

I’m unsure…..it would be P45 time for a UK pilot caught flying an approach like that, but then normal rules don’t seem to apply to the ‘locals’ in the Med and Aegean (and the Canaries, don’t get me started on Binter again)

Watched an IB 757 do some ‘hairy’ stuff at TFS on at least 3 ocassions.

The distance from the buildings is rather exaggerated by the long lens, as the first shot, taken from the 17 holding point shows. The altitude, if genuine, is a bit alarming, as 17 has a highly displaced landing threshold (look at the arrows indicating the displacement in pic 2), to discourage approaches like this.

I’m with your professional viewpoint on this. Still don’t think this is real.

I think its genuine… Its very rare they use that end at CFU, but when they do they’re LOW. The fence, left, is lower across the threshold.
