Falklands war

Too much India-Pakistan bulls#it going on on this forum, time for a change.

I had a couple of questions about the war?
– Is it true that there was a peace deal brokered by the goverment of Peru that was a win win situation for both sides but then the British had to go and screw it up for internal political reasons?
– I read that the British Marines who took over the island had to barely fight for it as the most of the occupying Argentinian soilders were new recruits. so the British landings on the north east and all was basically a overkill??
– Also i would like to know about the engagements that happened between RN Sea harriers and Argentinian Mirage-3s.
– After the war there were massive riots and all in Argentina right? what were the outcome of these riots?
Might have a couple of more questions later on. trying to learn as i go along…….
