MILAN (Reuters) – An Air France flight from Pisa to Paris has been forced to land at Milan’s Malpensa airport after a suspicious piece of baggage was found aboard, but the airline says it was a false alarm and no one was in danger.
“Air France confirms that the plane was made to land at Malpensa because of a suspicious bag,” an Air France spokeswoman in Rome said on Friday.
“It was a false alarm. The checks are over, there was nothing dangerous and the flight should take off for Paris in an hour or an hour and a half,” she said.
The incident occurred on flight AF1567, operated by Air France’s regional subsidiary Regional, flying from the central Italian city of Pisa to Paris, Air France said.

Well if it turned out that there was something unidentified on one of my flights I’d stick it on the deck asap too. Current climate dictates a take no risks policy.

I assume that will have been a CRJ?
