FAM, another breath of fresh air

The FAM (feruza Araea Mexicana) is now starting to grow after many years of stagnation and lack of funds, on it’s most recent list of aqusitions are a P-99A from Embraer, Three E-2’s from Israel and Three C-130’s from the UK (two former C-1’s and a C-3).

What conceivable future does it have? they will need to update or up grade their current fighter force of F-5’s

The site where these pics came from talks about the FAM acquiring a/c from Russian stocks including; Mig 29’s, L-39Z’s and Su-25’s. Considering the relations and current free trade and North American residents Agreements, would they really purchace these potent planes from Russia, or woulf they actually buy American like they have done in the past? Sure Russia can offer better terms and prices, but wouldn’t the US offer some advantages to them?
