Here are a few black and white photographs taken in the latter half of 1949 at Kai Tak.
1 A United States Navy Consolidated Privateer.
2 An Avro York.
3 Lancaster (Iris) from the central signals establishment at Watton, Norfolk.
4 A North American Mitchell. This one was overloaded with civilians fleeing the communists.
5 A 28 squadron Spitfire fr18 which was tipped on its nose by an over keen erk during a run up, He slammed the throttle shut and also broke its back.
6 An 80 squadron Spitfire coming ashore from the carrier H M S Ocean.
7 A curtiss Commando, A much better work-horse than a D C 3.
8 A Lockheed Constellation, no info available.
I make no apology for the quality of these pics though I have done my best with Paint shop pro. Hope you enjoy.

Great pics,…the B-25 one really accentuates the inverted gull shape.
