I can’t compete – photo-wise – with the likes of Damien & Nick et al, so I thought I’d just show you my Farnborough photos – with a difference…..
All pics taken on Tueday ……
The coloured prop is on (IIRC) an ATR-42
Close-up of the vortex generator on the MiG-29OVT nose probe.
Did you know that the MiG-29OVT lightning flash spells out the word ‘MiG’ in Cyrillic on the port fin and in Latin on the inside face of the starboard fin??
The runway had to be watered before the Airbus’ took off…..
The ‘spacemen’ are inside a model of the Russian ‘Klipper’ module
There was a crowd around the Klimov stand – so I had to see what was going on……
These ‘ladies’ were causing a bit of a sensation………..
Enjoy

Interesting about the MIG. I don’t think many people would have noticed that the flash on the MIG fins spelt out words.

Nice ones, a little off the beaten track.
Reminds me that when the MiG-29 first appeared at Farnborough, the stencilling and placarding was all in English. Soviet sense of humour, or what? I’ll see if I can find a picture to scan in – I know I’ve got one.
Mind you if the young ladies from MiG had been unleashed on the world in an earlier time, the cold war might have taken a very different course!
