Fast jet photo locations

Does anyone know of any good locations to get fast jet photos. Is there anywhere around Lakenheath where you can pitch up and get photos of f-15s, and does the mod mind people taking pictures near airbases??

the main road goes very close to the threshhold at lakenheath, and there are a couple of muddy lay-by’s you can park up in. you’ll be getting F-15’s flying over your head at very low level, or nice shots of them on re-heat at take off.

Just to let you know that the laybys are gone and the tarmac one beside the road is also “closed”. It appears that the council want only parking in the spotting area – fair enough and safer.
Be advised too that they are working on putting lights in at the Wangford junction (the turn off the main drag to the “enthusiasts” area.) and there is a 30 speed limit all the way from the end of the wood through to Brandon itself.
Just so you know…
The Americans don’t fly on Weekends, Bank Holidays (UK) or American holidays. Fridays aren’t really worth bothering with either as most of the flying is done by midday – although if there is an incentive flight (one of the vertical climbouts) they are usually on a Friday.
Visitors can be interesting from time to time but don’t count on many…
