Sad to report that the pilot of a recently restored Yak-11 was killed yesterday near Speyer airfield in Germany. Witness reports seem to indicate engine problems on take off with a turn back to the field. It has been reported the aircraft was on a test flight. B&F Technik report on their fb that the pilot was Tobias Dambach, whom some of you on here may well know.
