RE: Favorite Band
I’m only 17 and have some strange tastes in music. I am a great fan of 80s music and can listen to just about anything from this era.
> Billy Joel
> Cat Stevens
> Crowded House
> Counting Crows
etc.. etc.. !! Obviously not all of those above are 80s artists.
More recent music includes Oasis, Blur, Manic Street Preachers, David Gray, Coldplay, Tracy Chapman, Enya and the Electric Light Orchestra.

RE: Favorite Band
The Glenn Miller Band of the AEF——-
Many recordings from the opening strains of
Moonlight Serenade to the Propaganda broadcasts
to the German troops on the Continent are available
and give an accurate feel for the era. Sorry guys,
but that’s my music, and I’m stickin to it!

RE: Favorite Band
My favorite bands are Los Juanes, La Ley, Heroes del Selencio and Jarabe de Palo (all spanish language music). But just listing to classic music all the time is not mentally healthy, I think music should always be new and developing. New music I like now are:
Alex Syntec- another good album with a couple of really good songs
Mana- finally becoming a very good band and not just a fabricated sting/police copy.
Elefante- A new band with a good easy sound, they have about 5 good songs
Cafe Tacuba- They combined a cheap yet refined sound on theyre latest album thats makes a nice contrast
Thalia- hot hot videos

Gig of the year is SLF live at the Glasgow Barrowlands every St Patricks day since they reformed in 1991 , tickets are rarer than hens teeth but the atmosphere is pure electric , they always play the first few bars of Go For It before the bedlam starts , The Stranglers were never the same since Hugh Cornwell left , any thing from that era .NEVER go see a band who can’t play their own instruments !!!
