Im wondering what historical site, building, structure, etc is your favorite. The reasons for interesting you may be proximity, its near where you live and not many people know about it or is overlooked. It may be the historical importance this site held in history, for example a an important event or person was at this site. Or it may just be the type of place you would like for its beauty or personal interest or even ownership.

For me it’s the Steps of Russia, cause that’s how far the Mongols went in their expansion of their empire. Ghengis Khan is a hostorical icon for me.

There are lots of enchanting places, but the only one produce a deep impact in my soul was the Tah Mahal. It´s magical. It was at dusk and the pink and orange light iluminate it completely. Brings serenity, calmess, and sometimes tears. It seems alive. It makes so feel in heaven and at the same time it´s scaring for his masive presence. It´s like an slept white elephant, stearing and you and imposing its presence. Other places….the Gizeh Pyramids, Damascus mosque, the oasis of Nefta in Tunisia, Plaza Garibaldi in Mexico, and so on

Here in England there are hundreds of historical sites from castles to churches, stately homes and various other ruins , stonehenge for example. London has St.Pauls Cathedral, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey etc etc but their always full of tourists as you would imagine. The best ancient monuments are to be seen out in the the provinces such as Salisbury Cathedral which has the highest spire in Britain, and Corfe Castle in Dorset, Carisbrooke Castle on the Isle of Wight which itself is a form of ancient monument that the Romans inhabited for some years, but my favourite is an old Norman church situated on a cliff top in Dorset, just its shape is fascinating, its circular with a conicle roof, inside the altar is in the centre of the church its said to 900 years old .
