Favourite animals

What are your favourite animals, and what pets do you all have? I have a black Labrador called Dexter and five Bengalese finches. I’ve also had a horse, cats, fish, gerbils and a guinea pig.[http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/sabenabelgianairlines]

RE: Favourite animals

I would love to see a rainbow lorikeet, they have such beautiful colours and are my favourite parrots. When I was in Sydney I had a trip to what must have been the only wildlife park with no rainbow lorikeets, so I was a bit disappointed. Feeding the kangaroo, seeing the Tasmanian devil and the wild zebra finches made up for it though. My big wildlife ambition is to go whale watching in Massachusetts and see the humpback whales I’m studying for my final year project!!

“.. is there anything else you would like to share with the group? “

I really don’t know what you mean… 🙂

I would like to see Wiley Coyote kill and eat the Road Runner, and I think Sylvester should be allowed at least one Tweety Bird lunch.
I also think that both the martian and Elmer Fudd should be allowed Rabbit soup…

Is it just me or do some strange opinions on animal rights come from these strange American cartoons.

(Strange because the underdog is always the hero… cats vs dogs, Elmer Fudd vs Bugs etc.. the one that would win in real life always loses.)

Ja,

We have more in common than I thought. I love cats and Tigers are also my favourite animals. Love the ones at Dreamworld here on the Gold Coast.

Regards, Glenn.

RE: Favourite animals

I like dogs… especially in a white wine sauce. }>

We had a pet rabbit many years ago but a ferret broke in and killed it. It’s dead now too.

I like cats because they don’t need constant love and attention like dogs do… (too much like a kid in my opinion).
I like pet rabbits but go out of my way to kill Possums, ferrets, and wild rabbits, hares, wild cats and wild dogs.
I get pleasure from killing ferrets, and magpies.

(Don’t get the wrong impression… it is just that humans have ruined NZ by bringing animals that are wiping out native animals and plants… when I kill the animals that I do I do it to protect the natives. I would never kill a pet animal except in defence of myself or others, or if it was feral (wild)).

I’m a dog person. My family for years raised English Bulldogs. They are cool. Most dogs are OK. I’m not too picky. I am currently without pet.

RE: Favourite animals

I got a little Budgie and a Goldfish.

I’ve had the budgie for a year now and he’s got something wrong with him. He never comes out of the cagewhen the door is open and when you try and be nice by getting him out, he rips your hand off (quite literally).

The fish is 3 and a half and lives in a plastic bowl! I clean him once a week without fail… ahh – dedication!

RE: Favourite animals

My dog recently died : D’OH (ok stop whining Gef we already know about your dog).

No, my favourite pet is a black labrador, like my brother has one (Armstrong, like the name).

The animal I love the most is the leopard (not the cheeta). I’ve seen them in the Krugerpark, and wow, that’s a nice kitty!

RE: Favourite animals

My favourite pet is a dog. I’ve had a dog when I still lived with my parents, many years ago. He was half Labrador, half Retriever, very friendly dog. He still lives with my parents. Someday I’d like to have a husky.
For now I have a dwarf rabbit (actually it’s for my son).

Best regards,

Ference.

RE: Favourite animals

unfortunately, I have never had pets as we have always lived in flats in bustling cities. However I love all dogs except pomeranians and am fond of Chimpanzees and other primates.
