Seen at Spitalfields market today, a stall holder selling two four blader WW1 vintage airscrews and a Hartzell 2 blader. One of the 4-bladers was stamped” FE2B 160hp Beardmore”, couldn’t see the detail on the other. Both in pretty good condition, asking price £5.2K each for the 4 bladers. I’ve got the stallholders contact no if of use to anyone – not connected with me, I should point out.

What ridiculous prices. I can hear voices off stage saying “and where do you think that’s going” Lovely props but big.

I dare say that was an inflated Spitalfields price… Lovely things (see attached shot – the second one is half hidden behind the stall at the back in the shot), but I think even my super tolerant wife might baulk at it if I rocked up with one of those!
