Hi all
Does anyone from the above organisation frequent this domain or has anyone got a good contact as I urgently need to get in touch with them. Their website appears to be non-functioning and their email address has an auto reply stating that it’s no longer in use.
cheers

Glad you got in touch mate, when do they plan to open their doors again, after Easter?
No idea at present, I’ll ask my contact when he gets back to me

Hi all
Through various contacts on here I was able to get in touch with their current Treasurer, I understand that it’s still going and he should hopefully be back in touch with me next week
cheers

Do we know if the museum is still up and running? I visited in the summer and found a right hidden gem.

Hi Laurence, I now have an email contact via PM for someone who I used to know there. I’ll give them a try and see how it goes
thanks

Sorry, I had missed that sad news.
Maybe Elliot Smock (Whitley Project) can help with a contact. We corresponded about a Whitley turret cupola they used to have there. His reply was:
Hi Laurence – thanks to the heads up you provided I met with members of the museum and they have very kindly allowed me to borrow one of the panels needed to have a new set made. This will allow us to get the best possible match, rather than making a pattern which with the best will in the world would not be as accurate. Thanks very much once again for your help Laurence – it is greatly appreciated. Eric Cox was the driving force behind this in the museum and he really bent over backwards to help me. Doug Pike also did a grand job removing the panel without breaking it – a feat not to be underestimated!

Thanks Keith
I remember now that Ray had sadly passed away. As you say, the lack of contact details does point to problems (hopefully not). Quite sad really as I used to be their keeper of Aircraft 15 years ago along with Murray Flint 🙁

Our friend Ray (Shed Man) unfortunately passed away very suddenly a few weeks ago.
From some communications with him before his demise, I got the feeling things were not all well at the museum ? this could just be me getting things wrong, but may answer the lack of contact available ??
Keith.

Thanks for that, I seem to remember that he mentioned that he wasn’t involved with them any more but I’ll contact him just in case.
