What I really want to get to the bottom of is wether the cockpit and forward section from the mid section of MR.3 WR971, shown above, is still in existence?
I wasn’t aware that it survives, but would be a very pleasently surprised if it is. Can anyone confirm?

To put minds at rest, I can see VP293 at the moment, and it’s definately in Duxford! Located on the north side, adjacent to what appears to be the second vulcan pod.

Shack update
Just a quickie to say that over the past week Doug and others have been putting a bit of paint on the Shack , so she is looking a bit smarter now.
It is hoped to remove one or two wiring panels and fit clear plastic so people can see a bit of the innards. Hopefull y the Lightning will be getting a bit of a makeover in the winter
