This event took place on 24/25 September at the site of the former RAF Killadeas, a few miles from Enniskillen in Northern Ireland. The stars of the show were two Catalinas, both of which landed on the waters of Lough Erne. The sight and sound of Plane Sailing’s G-PBYA making two touch-and-goes and then a landing and take-off in this scenic setting was a memorable and evocative one. French-based combat veteran Canso N9767 also attended but unfortunately sustained elevator damage when it made contact with the mast of a moored yacht. The damage doesn’t look too serious, though, so hopefully it can be made serviceable again soon.

Beautiful! Nothing better than seeing seaplanes where they belong. That first take off shot, trailing the vapour is lovely.

Can’t have enough amphibious photos! Looks as though N9767 reversed into the parked yacht?:D
I believe it drifted backwards after its engines were cut.
