The Defence Fair 2005 took place at Tampere, Finland, in autumm 2005. Three veteran pilots, Erkki Pakarinen, Väinö Pokela and Kyösti Karhila, gave short presentations in the Finnish Air Force stand. Also present was Finnish Air Force Museum staff, with their glorious Hurricane Mk. I HC-452.
The Hurricane had been on show at Finnish Aviation Museum and on load at another museum, after it had spent more than a decade in the FAF Museum storage – where it now returned. These photos and video are the last public views of the plane for unknown period.

A “good” walkaroudn with detail shots will be on the same site sometimes later, when we get a decent system for walkarounds to the site.

Beautiful Hurricane, they look great with the DH prop. I’d love to get the chance to go to Finland to see her one day.

lovely ‘war weary’ finish!
Is it the original or ‘faux-tina’ as we say in car circles?
It the the completely original, untouched paint from the war years.
