fighters, made in canada?

it’s over 40 years since canada last make a fighter jet “avro arrow” and sadly they cancelled!….

i mean even sweden build their own fighter (gripen..) and their country is over six times smaller than ours (population).

we do have aerospace industry, hmmm bombardier (canadair)..
i wonder if they planning to build a fighter in the future…
