A mate of mine has been setting various questions for us all week, and today’s is:
“Recently there was a study commissioned to decide the best quote of all time. What was it and from which film?”
Any ideas??
I thought it was maybe “I’ll be back” from The Terminator, but that’s not it.

A Fistful Of Dollars: “My mule don’t like you laughing, kinda gets the feeling your laughing at him.”

I agree with the other great lines…here are a few more…some with an aviation bent.
“She’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen”…Jimmy Stewart getting his first look at a B-47 in “Strategic Air Command”.
“You wore blue, the Germans wore grey.” Bogart in Casablanca
“Do you expect me to talk?”
“No Mister Bond, I expect you to die”….James Bond and Goldfinger in Goldfinger.
“Take ’em down” Lee Marvin in Delta Force (it’s more the way he says it).
“General, I have no Corp”…Gen. Pickett to Robert E. Lee in “Gettysberg” when Lee asks him to lead his troops in another attack following the disasterous Picketts charge.
“There’s a crop duster dustin where there ain no crops”…farmer to Cary Grant in Hitchcock’s “North by Northwest”, shortly before an N3N chases him through a cornfield.
“We have a gut bustin’ mother lovin’ NAVY war”…Kirk Douglas to John Wayne following the Pearl Harbor attack in “In Harm’s Way.”
“I once thought you didn’t have enough heel to be a wing commander, but I was wrong. You have enough heel for the whole Air Force!” Rod Taylor to Rock Hudson in “A Gathering of Eagles”.
“Who are those guys?”.. Butch Cassidy in “BC and the Sundance Kid”
“If you build it they will come” from “Field of Dreams”

Blade Runner: “Time to die…”
I’d second that – great line from the greatest film of all times!
From the same film:
– “Is this a test to see if I’m lesbian or a replicant, Mr Deckard?”
– “My mother? I’ll tell of you about my mother…. [boom!]”
Kenneth
(who has the film on video (almost worn out), 2 CDs with the film music, the PC game, a Blade Runner T-shirt (if my wife hasn’t thrown it away), a Blade Runner jumper (ditto), the novel on which the film was based (“Do Androids Eat Electric Sheep?” by Phillip K. Di*k), a book about the making of the film and a novel written as a sequel (awful!)….. :)) )

4) “You’re an absolute shower, the whole ruddy lot of you!” (Terry-Thomas, Private’s Progress)
Many more, but they will do for starters.
