Concordes movement to Scotland are expected to be released in the next two weeks,Officials at the National Museums of Scotland (NMS) were keeping a tight lid this week on what route the 62-metre plane could take by land or sea. Previous speculation has been that it would arrive by sea at a jetty close to Torness Power Station.
However, a spokesman for the NMS this week stressed that no definite decision had yet been taken.

I suspect that BOAA will be dismantled and roaded via the M25 and the A13 ( both large dual carriageways) to Tilbury docks and then by sea to Scotland. Going all the way north by road will mean far smaller lumps. 🙁
mmitch.

Nor will it be able to land at EGLC even if it could fly. Hence (I presume!) the “:D “

G-BOAA is not allowed to fly again. It never had the re-fittings installed.

G-BOAA, the aircraft involved, was the only Concorde I ever saw take off and land. It was VERY noisy.
