In the 80s the Finns planned to buy 40 new Western aircraft and 20 new Soviet ones. but they went all in for hornets after USSR went kaput
before this happened, what were the other aircraft the finns were considering?

Can you point one single Western European country run by “neonazis”? No?
Can you point one single sentence from Swerve in wich he condones any simpathy for “neonazis”? No?
Can you actually explain such a stupid remark? No?
I’ve thought so.
I find it funny because Russians are actually bankrolling and supporting all sort of far-right parties in Europe. I guess those people are good fascists because they are pro-Russia?

Maybe you should wait until the neonazis reconquer europe and join them again. Seems to be your shtick

You mean far-right conquer Europe and join Russia again in dividing Europe for “spheres of interest” ?

By peaceful transition of power, the term applies to the “parties” (small “p”) involved, ie the POTUS and POTUS-elect.
Bush v1 was gracious to Clinton v1, who was gracious to Bush v2, who was gracious to Obama, etc. You did not see them bad mouthing the POTUS-elect, the peopel who elected him, etc.
While there has been sporadic violence, you will not see organized, widespread violence from the loosing Party (big “P”).
There will always be butt-hurt sore-losers, that cannot be helped.

You think I’m a neo-Nazi? Either you’ve not paid any attention to what I’ve posted here or you’re a loony. :highly_amused: That’s probably the funniest thing I’ve read here.

The F-35B or F-35C are just as capable of dispersed basing as the Gripen or Super Hornet.
Rest assured that F-35B and -C are not considered. As for dispersed basing, there probably isn’t that much difference between the contenders. It was already practised with Draken and MiG, which have horrible landing strip requirements compared to modern fighters.

Wouldn’t disagree in principle, 9/11, patriot act so on.
Yet, Bush is happily sitting on his couch watching college football. Many of the NSA initiatives were challenged in court.
Democracy balancing freedom and security is an ongoing theme: Alien and Sedition acts, Lincoln suspending Habeas Corpus, Schenek v. U.S, NYT v. U.S. Thing is, eventually balance is restored in democracy.
In reality, not much has changed, only the Bush has been replaced by another puppet of the establishment. Araq and Afghanistand have been replaced by Libya and Syria, Gitmo still stands, (a slightly revised) Patriot Act is still valid under a different name.. Let’s face it, if Russia had few major families who were sending their members to grab the position of the head of Kremlin on regular manner, you would talk about immense power of the oligarchy hovering above Russia. But your four Kennedys, three Bushes (incl. Jep) and now two Clintons are somehow perfectly okay… while Sanders, who would have easily been voted for, has been kicked out using dirty tricks..

Above all the system continues to work in the US as shown by continued peaceful transitions of power, even between people who hate each other.
I would agree with you if Putin wasn’t so popular in Russia.. A quite overwhelming majority of voters still want him there, like it or not..

If power really transfer you won’t be seeing Bernie sender and that huge following of various web sites that question the integrity of the system. I can rely on Rogozin statements on various advanced weopon systems development.

Pot/kettle.. When I think about it, this is EXACTLY what we have been observing in the US of A since ~2001.
…
Step five, impose overwhelming and all-embracing state surveillance of media, telephone calls, text messages and social networks.

Good to see that Russian state media propaganda roubles not going to waste. Neo-nazi existential threat….. hey if it ain’t broke.
Step one, convince population that they are besieged by enemies.
Step two, crack down on media/free speech.
Step three, restore “greatness” through militarization and expansion.
Step four, pass laws limiting freedoms and opposition citing said threats to homeland.

Think about it, why would anyone question Putin if they weren’t either a Nazi or a terrorist?
The only real difficulty is figuring out which one is which.

Always been true – & it worked. Finland is independent because it made itself too expensive to conquer.

The article says, what everyone around here has been saying for a long, long time, its a straight one between the F-35A and the Gripen E.
“Valet skulle då stå mellan F-35 och Gripen.”
Yes I noticed this is what they are speculating.
I was thinking along the same lines however now I think it is mainly between the SH and F-35 and Gripen being third not second in the race. I may be wrong of course.

ALIS dispersed???
Yes. Besides being able to operate without ALIS for at least 30 days, there are mobile versions of ALIS.
