Hi all,
Had a great visit to the Fire Training Center at Teeside Airport on Tuesday. Hope you like the shots.
Can you guess what this is?
Inside

This airframe was used to trial an internal fire supression system. You can just make out the external mod for the inlet valve just above the nose wheel door.

Think it is an ex Gill Air machine not sure? Just wondering the last shot is it ment to train them if a fuel tanker was refueling a plane and caught fire?
James
That is exactly the scenario they use, fuelling aircraft and tanker catches fire.

Have to be honest here Si and say that this one wasn’t too difficult for me. Spent years on them flying between Aberdeen and Sumburgh as part of the process of transiting to oil rigs in the Norhtern North sea – Great machines !
