Firecracker prototypes. Any idea where?

When I worked at Atlantique (1996/7) at least one of the prototype NDN Firecrackers was kept in the hangar.

Is it still there or has it moved on?

The Sheriff was a sort of 1980’s Miles Gemini. The airframe produced still lives with the East Midlands Aeropark.

I think I saw that and the Norman high-wing SEP design being towed about the Coventry Air Show 2002 (date?).

Forgive my ignorance, but what was the SEP? Was it another reincarnation of the Freelance?
While I’m here, does anyone remember the Britten Sherriff light twin project?

I’ve still got the forward fuselage mock-up of the Aussie/Westland contender the A-20 Wamira II, if anybodys remotely interested ?

But as the PC-9, Firecracker and Tucano were already ‘proper’ airframes by then, the modified Wamira (tandem seating configuration) didn’t really stand a chance of a contract.

Although it was displayed on Westlands stand at Farnboro’ 84 😀

Actually, apologies to all for committing the cardinal sin of posting without searching 🙁

Apology accepted while I was checking the above. My information from about 2003 was that G-NDNI was stored in Hangar 1 at Coventry and four or five Freelance (?) fuselages were stored in Hangar 6.

I suppose I should have done the same then….but I’m using as my excuse….that its only my second day here and it may take me a little while to get used to how things operate.

I remember reading in an old copy of the NATA magazine that someone in the States had bought one of the Turbo Firecrackers, but never have heard of it since.
