I have to say i myself am a fan of the 717, but it is such a shame to see so many parked up. I would have thought perhaps some of the MD80srs operators within europe would have picked up quite a few on the cheap out of storage, but it has not been so.

Party time (early) tomorrow morning at AVV. The first Jetstar into Avalon arrives to a celebration to include the State Premier —- and me! (I hope!)

“all day everyday low fares”—nice slogan and a nice livery.Hope the airline goes well as this could mean a boost for the 717 programme.
These 717’s are ex Impulse (Qantas Link) aircraft, and are only a fill in until Jetstars A320’s arrive later in the year, then i’m sad to say, they’ll leave Australian soil forever

I think Olympic has parked their 717’s (1 of the 2, at least) for whatever idiotic reason. They are practically brand new.

The only 717s the UK gets are Olympics into LGW, and very rarely AeBal on Charters.

It would be nice to see some 717’s in the UK one day, I don’t think I’ve ever seen one on British soil.

Very nice livery there! I believe that Jetstar have just started operations out of Newcastle, Australia.
