First A320 for Jetstar

With the arrival of the first of twenty or so A320’s for Jetstar, it means we will start to see the departure of the B717 from these shores

According to the article “Jetstar takes delivery of first Airbus A320 as fleet builds” found on the Jetstar Website it will join the Jetstar network on the 20th July.

The whole B717 fleet will be phased out completely by Mid 2005. The first A320 will go into service in July and mostly like the first B717 will depart around then!

Whens the first and last 717 gonna go Steve?

I heard that the last 717 will leave JS service between the August and October peroid, atm they are stikll building up their services, though they still have a long way to go, not many people are happy with them including me!

Shame. I love 717’s, dont want them to go. To be honest there arent all that many different types of aircraft when you think about it. Mainly 737,747,757,767,777,A319/320/321,330,340. Thats ten aircraft in total (of course there are many others, but not in big numbers). Sad to see the 717’s going.
