Hi, (Sorry about the long post!!)
Im Flying to HUX with Frist Choice, (As there called at the minute!) from MAN.
I was looking at upgrading the from Economy to Premium and the only comfort advantages were an extra 3 inch in seat pitch from 33 to 36, Better seats.. however i think the normal ones should be ok.. and a few extras on the IFE.. I got a quote to upgrade and it was going to be an extra £520 for both of us.
BUT… As i have already paid just over £500 extra to upgrade our room and grade from normal to VIP at the hotel.. Jacuzzi on the baloncy etc i… Private beach, private Pool and full access to all the al a carte resturants etc i thought i would have to draw the line somewhere on price!!!!!
So what i have done is upgrade the seats in ECO from normal to extra leg room seats.. ie exit seats… for only £120 for both of us, outbound and inbound. (I thought a fair price. so instead of an extra 3 inch hopefully it will be a couple of foot!!)
My question is on the B767 that first choice are using, where abouts are the TV’s if in extra leg room seats?? are they going to be in the armrest or wall mounted??

Listen to this…
I have been offered £15 per person per flight… ie £60 for 2 of us to upgrade to premier… (already paid for extra legroom..) so taking into account i would of been paying £20.00 for the IFE upgrade when i was on board… an extra £40 for free drinks and better service seems a good deal!!!
RickT
Wow i really think that you should take up this offer considering that some people will have payed hundreds of pounds for the extra services!

sorry.. mistype… i meant 3.. ie middle section..
Rick
Well if it is just the two of you traveling I think you will get the window and isle seat.
By: Rickt - 19th June 2007 at 22:22
There is no 4 seat section on FCA, both premium and economy are 2-3-2.

Listen to this…
just called First choice regarding seating…. i have been advised that FCA have reduced the Premier cabin due to the little intrest that they had…

my only concern is the amount of leg room… standard is 33 inch seat pitch… Permier is 36 inch… and the extra leg room would of been more….

Will these be in the bulk head.. or do you think as there is only 2 of us, do you think they will put us next to the exit’s??
I guess the seat config is planned prior to check in.. can you call the FC to ask they they can allocate seats?? (as i have paid for extra Leg room?
As there is just the two of you flying I would think that you will get the window+aisle seats on the exit row. At Gatwick, they do pre-assign the extra legroom seats for passengers that have already paid for them in advance, but not sure if it is the same up in MAN, although FC Ops is based in Manchester, so I would think they would of done the same!
Hope you have an enjoyable flight!
Look forward to reading your trip report!

I have used FCA’s long haul product 4 times times so far.
Did you travel in Star Class Premier or in economy? If you travelled in SCP, what did you think? Any comments/opinions about it would be good to hear…
So what i have done is upgrade the seats in ECO from normal to extra leg room seats.. ie exit seats… for only £120 for both of us, outbound and inbound. (I thought a fair price. so instead of an extra 3 inch hopefully it will be a couple of foot!!)
Just to warn you, as is it dependant on which 767 a/c you are flying on (some are slightly different config!), if you get the extra legroom seats on Row 11 in the middle section (Seats CDE) of the cabin (2+3+2) you will have the bulkhead in front of you, but the bottom of it is cut away, so you still get the extra legroom to strech out! All other extra legroom seats are normal as far as I am aware…!
The only major disadvantage is no free drinks…. but if i had paid £500 extra for free drinks and a a diffenert colour lights, i would of tried to get my moneies worth from the bar!! BUT you cant drink £500 worth of ale without causing a divert!!
You do get alot more for the money you pay if you upgrade to SCP…including more legroom (36in, instead of 33in in economy!), a choice of meals served on proper china plates and course by course (instead of all in one go and on a plastic tray!), and you also get a better range of entertainment (bigger screen size and more audio/visual channels – although I was not aware that economy passengers can upgrade to the premium package whilst onboard!

A lot of people are saying that they regret paying for upgrades to Premier because there is not much difference.
Thats what i thought, and as i have got extra legroom seats i would perfer the extra space infront of me and then

You can upgrade the IFE to Skytime Premier for £5 each TV, this can be done through the cabin crew.
The TV system will come from the arm and is moveable.
Thats good… didnt fancy any fixed screens..
Cheers
