Indeed it is, great to see from a charter airline.
By: Duesseldwarf - 16th June 2004 at 21:47
😮 It seems you are correct 😮
33″ in economy is bloody generous for a charter airline. OMG!! 😮
By: LBARULES - 16th June 2004 at 21:42
I think the 33″ is the standard cabin whereas 36″ is premium.
By: Duesseldwarf - 16th June 2004 at 21:41
I believe it says that FCA’s premium cabin is 36″ pitch so that would beat Monarch I’m afrain Düsseldwarf.
Hey! You’re right (in a way), EAL_KING did type 36″ but the chart that he has attached states 33″. Hmmmm? Which one is it?
Well, it doesn’t really matter, just that Monarch SHOULD win, right! 😀 😀

As of the start of next year, Virgin Atlantic should be offering 9″ AVOD IFE in economy from London Gatwick.

www.bata.uk.com has details of seat pitches – interesting to see which airlines use 28 inch pitch (the legal minimum)
By: Excel - 16th June 2004 at 08:07
It does look impressive. The FCA A321 interior is very nice too, with the two class layout 🙂
By: topjet330 - 16th June 2004 at 07:42

This seems like a huge step for a charter airline. I’ve always criticised charter carriers because of the ways in which they squeeze in passengers, but 2-3-2 instead of 2-4-2, PTVs and a choice of meals.. it reminds me of the United 767 I flew 18 months ago!
A great, new change. 😮
Sounds like FCA is copying the scheduled carriers rather than following the other charters down the low cost route.
By: T5 - 15th June 2004 at 19:45
from may 2005, and the aircraft has extra wide seats instead of 2 – 4 – 2 its going to be three in the middle of the B767-300ER.

Less PAX per flight = More £££££ per flight ?
By: LBARULES - 15th June 2004 at 19:19
Looks fantastic, lets hope this sort of thing catches on, and prompts the like of MyTravel and Britannia with their pathetic long-haul seat pitches into doing the same sort of thing.

So will this be introduced across the whole fleet by summer ’05 or only start to be by summer ’05?
Sounds excellent!
By: Arabella-Cox - 15th June 2004 at 17:41
