Had my trial flight from Norwich yesterday, it was fantastic.
First we flew over my house in Watton and then I was allowed to fly the little Cessna myself. When we landed I was given a lovely certificate with a picture of me in front of the Cessna I flew in on it. It’s going to put up on my lounge wall as soon as I’ve bought a frame.
As if that wasn’t enough a little later Dave Barrell took me for a ride in a Yak 52! It was wonderful, we looped 😮 and rolled above some wispy clouds and flew along the beach at Cromer, he’s a wonderful pilot 😉 , I can’t wait to have a go in the Stearman next week. Thanks everyone for a wonderful day, I can’t wait till next week. If I can work out how I’ll post some pictures from the day.

Leave him alone he called me “Young” !!!
Actually thinking about it you are probably right! 😀
Of course I’m mental – I fly close formation with DBW therefore I am mental by default….
Thanks for sticking up for me albeit very briefly!!

And you should know young lady!!
Aviation wise, I will always remember coming back from Coningsby – him in the Yak leading me in the Pitts in a very tight formation, I didn’t take my eye off YAKO for one second – he called “smoke on!” then soon after “smoke off!”
Turns out it was very naughty of him…
Ask him about it, I wonder if he remembers… 😎

I’ve always wanted a tailwheel Yak 52. Does Mark or anybody else have one available for demos to qualified buyers?

I’ve heard about that trip and seen some pictures, as I recall you were wrapped up nice and warm leaving the poor chap in the fron to freeze in an A2 and a flying suit….

A Stearman ride in February????

How about this Mexican AF scheme? Pic from Stearman.net. Certainly would be one to get tongues wagging and shutters clicking!

Give us a chance Dan….
The colour scheme will remain the same for a little while until the fabric is changed, may be one or two alterations but it will essentially be the same. Any particular scheme you would like to see in the future???

The Stearman was fine until October when the spanners came out, now just having a quick make over during the winter and a general tidy up.
New colour scheme too?

Well I’m just not worried about the cold and can’t wait!
What ever did you do to your Stearman last March to cause it to still be in pieces now! 😮
