TF-FIJ
I flew on that aircraft TF-FIJ in March 2005 and i must admit it shows its age a bit. If Icelandair are spending this much money on it to add winglets im sure they could spare a bit to improve the in flight entertainment etc. It has those rubbish over the aisle big tele things and the picture qualities rubbish. Also the headphone socket in my seat didnt work. The 757-300 TF-FIX on the way home was much better.

Indeed it was a lovely flight…..35″ seat pitch and leather seats 😉

Ah, now THAT would be comfy 😀

I was about to say that the words seat pitch and comfy should never feature together in one sentence when in reference to Thomas Cook 757s. But as I see it was on the Toronto mission, I can imagine a more generous seat pitch than their “rack em, stack em and pack em” charter pitch.

I still remember the day in February 1983 when the first one ever to appear at Glasgow Airport touched down. G-BIKB of British Airways, brand spanking new and on it’s first day in service.
Nowadays it works for DHL, I miss seeing those red tail birds, they looked great. 😀

Ive got to admit I’ve only flown Once on the 757(BA) and had the grate pleasure of flying in the jump seat , One flight I shall remember For a life time 🙂 🙂
Chatting to the Pilot as the FO landed it at The ROW, I asked “when do we Land ” the Pilot turned with a massive Grin and answered” about 2 minutes ago” even the FO grinned 😀 😀 The sign of a Good landing when the piots dont feel the Bump

Very neat looking aircraft, but I’d have to go with my username a/c as the best looking overall.

Flown alot of 757’s meself, mostly Britannia to Turkey,Greece, Spain etc
but I have been on a Tommy Cook 757-200 from Toronto – Manchester, lovely flight, especially the seat pitch and comfy leather seats 😀Sam

Those 3 hours to Greece and 3 hours back were very uncomfortable for me and I’m not what you would call tall. Short and podgy thats me.
At the end of each flight I genuinely just wanted off!! I’ve never felt like that with a 757, or flying in general for that matter, before.

That pilot certainly knows his quality engines 😉
