First JAL 747 painted up in the new c/s.

Not bad, but for some reason it doesn’t look as nice as the 777 or the A300?

What do you think?

Yeah it’s dull alright, looks like an interim job or a model plane awaiting the rest of it’s decals.

What’s behind the two isolated windows on the upper deck ?

The aircraft is much larger and so there is more white visible making it very boring to look at.

Other than that, it’s simple, but I much prefer the exciting, exotic and daring colour schemes where you need sunglasses to look at it.

Almost as boring as AF c/s which is a reference.

I have been hearing of rumblings from JAL passengers and staff, they are not happy about the famous flying stalk being removed from the livery, come to think of it, looking at that 747 i am not happy about it either, bring back the original tail i say.

Have any of you seen the new corporate identity of the ‘new’ JAL Group? (merged with JAS). The logo and aircraft livery look awful! JAL has a great look right now, with the Japanese stork on the tailfin. It is sad that they are tampering with such a classic Japanese look, and also I don’t think anyone is looking forward to the anticipated higher fares once the new JAL Group takes to the skies.
