Don’t post on here usually, but as I got the oppurtunity to go to RIAT’s non-public day yesterday it would be a shame not to post the pix. The photos are of varying quality, partly due to the heavy storms, and partly due to the fact that I’m on crutches after breaking several bones in my foot. There were a few flying displays, but the weather put off many including the Red Arrows and the Eurofighter.
Hope you like ’em! I’m not very good on the military stuff, so any information you may have regarding the aircraft I would be happy to know.Any help with identifying the last aircraft in this group please?

Sweet Pictures Dan. I was there yesterday, and i must say the show was good, though to me not as good as last year. Things missing that i was told were going to be there, and a few gaps in the display timetables etc, but other that that, i cant complai with what was there.
Cheers for sharing your pics Dan. 🙂 I pop a few of mine up later on when ive looked through them. 🙂

Thanks MANAIRPORTMAD, yes the B-1 was certainly a bone shaker. But that made it even better!
I’m just trying to work out who that Avanti belongs to…

avanti was used daily from EGAA to Brussels on the doomed business class service. Weird seing engines facing other direction!

Yeah, summin like a 20ft drop, and landed with all my weight onto one foot. Oops!

Ooh, sounds very painful! You stupid boy 😀
By: wannabe pilot - 17th July 2004 at 18:04
Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up Mark.
LBARULES, I broke several bones in my foot by jumping off of a big inflatable slide, like you get at fairgrounds. Thought I could jump and land halfway down, over-estimated it though, missed the slide and hit the bottom! Ahah c’mon, all laugh at me 😀

Yup, only a KC-10 if with the USAF. This one is one of a handful of DC10-40 aircraft still flying.

Great shots as ever Dan, as you would expect I particularly like the Jet2 one 🙂
How to break some bones in your foot? Get well soon mate 🙂

Thanks very much RIPConcorde, Mark and Silver Snapper. Greatly appreciated.
Mark, isn’t it a KC-10? Or does it only get that designation if it belongs to the USAF?
