Does anyone know anything about this please?
I was driving from Guildford towards Bristol, in mid-afternoon this Thursday (13th) and following my sat nav (so I didn’t really know where I was!) but I saw five biplanes flying in loose formation. From a glance they looked liked two Tiger Moths (or similar) but one definitely looked larger and heavier (perhaps a Gladiator?) I was one the A329, and I think they were flying roughly north-east, probably over the the north-west corner of Bracknell. I didn’t get another look as I was being told by my wife and daughter to concentrate on the road!
Sorry mods, I have put this on the “Spotted” thread, but haven’t had any response – and I thought I was interesting enough to warrant its own thread. Please delete if you disagree.

The Sunday at the Moth Club rally was splendid topped by good weather and a lovely selection of Moths and other vintage aircraft plus the visiting vintage cars including the very lively driven Bugatti type 35 without any vestige of mud guards or road equipment which I followed back to the M.1. I had my hood down and his exhaust almost deafened me as well as choking on the smell of rubber from his tyres.
Peter Holloway’s Storch went U/S and the Dragonfly didn’t appear but the Irish Dragon and The Norman Trust one did and flew together. The only Rapide on Sunday was G-AHAG and the only Pussmoth G-AAZP.
So in answer to the above plea, here are a few of my photos.

Ive just got in from a few hours at Woburn (back tomorrow for the full day). There was a group of 5 this morning consisting of two cubs/two Tigers and a Stearman-so was likely this same group.
Havent sorted photos out yet-but the first cub was Dutch registered-the Stearman did a touch and go and according to the commentator-then went on to Old Warden.
Saw a similar group last year-so would imagine they are all part of a Dutch group?

Afraid not. It sounds like a group of Lepidopterae journeying together. The larger type if radial engine’d may have been a Stearman or a Waco or Travelair as some other types go by invite if flown by Moth club members. I hope to see what there is tomorrow.

Cheers John – success at last! Do you have any idea which aircraft they were?
